Domestic Contest(Overview)
 

The 2006 Nationwide Internet Contest (Domestic Contest) is a preliminary contest for any team which belongs to a university or college in Japan.

To participate in the Asia Regional Yokohama On Site Contest (Regional Contest), all teams in Japan must compete in the Nationwide Internet Contest (Domestic Contest), and be selected according to the Team Selection Procedure.

Any non-Japan-based team (whose members all belong to a university / college in a foreign country) have NO NEED to participate in the Nationwide Internet Contest (Domestic Contest).

The registration deadline for the Domestic Contest is June 16 (Fri).

 

Domestic Contest
When
June 30 (Fri) 16:30-19:30
(Practice time from 11:00 to 15:00.)
Where
Each team competes at their university/college.
Held over the Internet
How
Get the problems and input data from a specified WWW site. Write a program. Submit the program through a Web interface.
Note 1: Although previous domestic contest had the contestants submit their program via e-mail, we are planning to make this completely web-based.
Note 2: The URL for the WWW site will be announced via e-mail.
  • 6 total problems (tentative)
  • Problems are written in English. There will also be Japanese versions available.

Each team must have 3 contestants and 1 coach. Furthermore a proctor (faculty member of the university/college) will also be necessary. Details can be seen here.

27 teams will be selected to participate in the Asia Regional. In addition, 8 non-Japan-based teams and 1 wildcard team will be chosen for a grand total of 36 teams participating in the Asia Regional
Yokohama on-site Contest. (Note: Number of teams is tentative.)
