University, Yagami Campus) |
Please note that most of the time schedule for trains are in
Japanese only.
- Yagami Campus
On November 4, please come to the Yagami campus according to 2a
(Access-from Hiyoshi train station) below. When you reach the
entrance to the campus, there will be a slope. Please go up the
slope. The Contest will be held within Sosokan (building #3 in
the figure below). The entrance to the building is next to the
guard room. There will be signs for you to follow.
NOTE: If you are staying at the contest designated
hotel (Toyoko Inn) on Nov. 3, a member of the Yokohama site
staff will take you to the Yagami Campus on the morning of Nov.
4. (Details will be sent to the relevant teams about one week
before the contest.)

- Access
- From the nearest train station (Hiyoshi Train Station)
It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Hiyoshi Train Station
(Toyoko Line) to Yagami Campus. The route to the campus can be checked at
the following WWW page:

Note that not all trains will stop at Hiyoshi Train Station.
Local (Futsuu), Express (Kyuukou), Commuter Express (Tsukin
Tokkyu) will stop. Limited Express (Tokkyu) will NOT stop.
- From Shin-Yokohama Train Station
Shinkansen (Bullet Train) stops at Shin-Yokohama Train
Station. You will need to take trains as follows:

A light breakfast consisting of Rice Ball (Onigiri), Miso Soup,
and coffee will be available at the hotel.

- From the nearest train station (Shin-Yokohama Train
Station)
It takes about 5 minutes to get to the hotel from
Shin-Yokohama Train Station.
After leaving the train station, cross the road using the
crossover. Turn left and walk a few minutes. The Toyoko Inn
is on the right side. Note that there are two Toyoko Inns
near each other. Please go to the Shinkan, NOT the Honkan.

- Staying early
Although there will be no financial support for staying on Nov.
3, if you want to stay, please indicate that in a survey which
will be a survey held soon. Also, a member of the Yokohama site
staff will take you to the Yagami Campus on the morning of Nov.
4 (train fee to be paid by each person). Note that the cost of a
single room at the Toyoko Inn is 7140 yen, and a twin room is
9240 yen.

travel and lodging expenses |
- Support for travel expenses
The following basic policy is used for supporting travel
expenses of teams. Note that teams who will be supported has
been contacted on September 14.
- Foreign teams: No support
- Domestic teams (One way travel expense is less than or
equal to 1000 yen): No support
- Domestic teams (One way travel expense is greater than
1000 yen)
- Contestants: Supported
- Coaches (Students): Supported
- Coaches (Faculty members): No support
- Support for accomodation expenses
The following basic policy is used for supporting accomodation
expenses of teams.
- Four members of each team (3 contestants and 1 coach) is
supported for the nights of November 4 and 5 at the contest
designated hotel. Extras such as telephone are not
supported.
- Extended stays (before and after the contest) are not
supported.
